Mt Sinai "Keystones in Development" Curriculum

What it is: This is an online, self-directed, 4 hour curriculum for residents. The curriculum demonstrates how residents can promote early childhood development and help strengthen parent-child relationships within the context of routine well-child visits. It focuses on six developmental keystones – Attachment, Autonomy, Self-Regulation, Perspective Taking, Problem Solving and Academic Knowledge – that are well-supported by research, largely dependent on caregiver behaviors and are strongly predictive of later social-emotional and cognitive well-being.
Ideal audience: All residents, all parents!
Why it is great: Helpful handouts and parenting advice that are evidence based.
How much time to budget: The curriculum is divided into 13 modules, each approximately 15-20 minutes in length, totaling 4 hours. Please note, some of the modules are assigned for you to complete during your Adolescent Rotation.
How to access it: You will be sent a link to create your own login by the residency team. Here's the site for providers https://parenting.mountsinai.org/providers/ And here is their page for parents https://parenting.mountsinai.org/
